Today we took Nick's parents on a tour of Clinton, which included Eagle Point Park and "the castle." I honestly know nothing about it, why it was built or if it had some purpose once upon a time. It seems sort of random, a tower in the middle of a park which doesn't quite belong. Perhaps once it was used as a look-out point. Or maybe there were lots of leftover stones after the retaining wall was built, so someone put them to good use. Maybe some rich man built it as a place for his children to play.
If someone knows the real back story to this oddity, please share. :)
